Great Spotted Woodpecker
The great spotted woodpecker is often sighted from Willow Pool Hide feeding station at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve.
Water rail
A pair of Water Rails bred this summer and have showed well at the eastern end of the reserve throughout September.
Velvet swimming crab
An exciting array of life was found hidden within the rockpools of Flamborough.
Gadwall
Marsh harriers hunting over the Ings, putting up lots of snipe and ducks. There were lots of Gadwall, shoveler and wigeon on the water down there after the rain we’ve had. And there was an immature gannet flew over.
