• Update of our database - We are currently updating our volunteers' database and removing redundant data. All volunteers who are currently on the database will shortly be receiving a form asking them to confirm that they are still volunteering with us. It is important that all active volunteers complete and return this form, otherwise you will be removed from the database and will no longer receive our mailings.
• Calling all volunteers! - We are trying to keep a record of all volunteer email addresses. Could all volunteers who have an email address please forward your addresses on to Claire Jackson.This will allow us to occasionally send you updates and information via email allowing us to save paper.
• Volunteering Conference - On March 18th Soo Prentice attended a volunteer conference hosted by Natural England to discuss the future of environmental volunteering. To find out more view the conference report.
• Training - There are a number of training opportunities coming up over the winter months, including bird watching for beginners and winter tree ID. We are also on the look out for new bird surveyors to help out on one of our many reserves. Good bird ID would be necessary but to give you survey skills we are holding two training sessions in March.
