Waves of Waste Coordinators - North Yorkshire Coast
Could you organise a clean up of your local beach four times a year and build up a committed squad of friends or locals to help you? You’ll also take charge of your team’s kit and help with promoting the events and liaising with Trust staff. We are looking for volunteer coordinators with a passion for Living Seas and some experience and interest in running small events, working with children, families and the general public. Full training available.
Commitment: Approximately 12 days per year

Conservation Volunteers - Scarborough, North Yorkshire
To assist the Reserve Officer and Field Officer in the day-to-day management of nature reserves for the benefit of wildlife, conservation and people. Assisting in maintaining paths and a wide variety of practical management works e.g. scrub clearance, raking, fencing, planting, help with tool maintenance and inventory, possible survey work.
Commitment: First Thursday each month

Conservation Volunteers - Harrogate Group
We carry out a range of practical conservation and estate works on sites across Harrogate & District such as tree coppicing, reed planting, managing weeds and installing & maintaining facilities for visitors such as paths & benches. Work days involve working with a range of hand tools in a variety of habitats from woodlands to grasslands. There is also the opportunity to survey sites for birds, butterflies, otter and flora and also to become a warden or stock checker.
Commitment: You can attend weekly or more or less often as you please

Conservation Volunteers - Grass Wood Group, Grassington, North Yorkshire
We carry out a range of practical conservation and estate works at Grass Wood, including woodland management and maintaining facilities for visitors such as paths & gates. Work days involve working with a range of hand tools. There is also an opportunity to become a site warden.
Commitment: Regular workdays in autumn and winter (approximately fortnightly). Less regular in spring and summer.
