Staff Team
The Dig In team currently includes Vicky Harland, Marie Birbeck and Francesca Clair.
Vicky Harland is the Project Manager and has worked at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust for almost 6 years managing community projects in York. Vicky will be leading on the community garden on Brailsford Crescent in the Clifton area of York.
Marie and Francesca are both Project Assistants; each working 3 days a week on Dig In. Marie joins us from BTCV where she worked on similar projects in and around York, whilst Francesca has been a community worker in Glasgow, involved with community food and gardening projects in Edinburgh and also has experience working on organic veg farm. Marie will be leading on the community garden in Hull Road Park and Francesca will be taking the lead on the community garden on Cornlands Road in the Westfield area of York.
Voluntary Trainees
The project will also have a 4-day a week Voluntary Trainee who will join the team in February 2012. They will be involved in all aspects of the project including planning, education, food growing and practical tasks.
