Wildlife Wealth - Access and Conservation Work

The following practical work has been undertaken to improve Yorkshire Wildlife Trust nature reserves for people and wildlife as part of the Wildlife Wealth project:

 

  • 2 new bird hides, steps & fencing at installed at Denaby Ings.
  • Reserve car park resurfaced at Denaby Ings.
  • 2 wheelchair-accessible bird hides constructed at Sprotbrough Flash.
  • Stiles replaced with kissing gates at Ledsham Bank, Brockadale, Fen Carr & Stoneycliffe Wood.
  • 500 metres of estate fencing installed at Stoneycliffe Wood.
  • 700 metres of footpaths improved at Stoneycliffe Wood.
  • Perimeter fencing installed around pond at Stocksmoor Common to safeguard great crested newt population.
  • Waymarker badges produced to improve waymarking of public rights of way & permissive paths on nature reserves.
